AmeriLux International and Brett Martin Form American Polycarbonate Company

AmeriLux International, a renowned value-adding distributor and fabricator of plastic sheets, and Brett Martin,
a global innovator in thermoplastic manufacturing are happy to announce the formation of American Polycarbonate Company (APC). The joint venture is poised to begin extruding and manufacturing polycarbonate sheets in AmeriLux’s brand new 500,000 sq foot state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution center located in De Pere, WI—starting in early 2026.

APC will leverage the expertise of AmeriLux International for distribution, fabrication, and logistics along with Brett Martin’s 60-year experience in sheet extrusion. This is a collaboration designed to meet rising demands for high-end building materials, reduced lead times, and enhanced supply chain efficiency for domestic customers.

The partnership is built on shared values: two family-founded businesses that remain privately held, fostering cultures of long-term thinking, integrity, and sustainable growth. Formed in 2004 with an entrepreneurial spirit, AmeriLux has built its success on win-win partnerships that prioritize people, innovation, and a “consider it done” mentality.

Similarly, Brett Martin, established in 1958, has grown from a small family operation into a worldwide leader, maintaining its family-owned foundation and commitment to quality. APC will combine domestic market insights with industry-leading manufacturing expertise to ensure resilient and first-rate polycarbonate solutions for the following sectors: construction, data processing, agriculture, horticulture, architecture, and more.

APC will manufacture a variety of polycarbonate sheets that compete globally, incorporating advanced features such as high-performance glazing for safety and energy efficiency—accomplished through expanded fabrication capabilities and a dedication to sustainability. Customers can expect expedited material delivery, customized solutions, and exceptional service backed by over 80 years of collective experience in plastics innovation.

“This joint venture marks our commitment to long term engagement in the US market and a recognition that dedicated local manufacturing, and service provides the optimum package for American customers.” said Paul Martin, Group Director of Brett Martin Ltd. “By uniting our technical extrusion expertise with AmeriLux’s customer-centric distribution model, Brett Martin and AmeriLux are creating a platform that delivers innovative, high-quality products while upholding shared values.”

Kurt Voss, CEO of the Amerilux Family of Companies, said “Simply put, we are chasing our potential. This joint venture is a testament to the strength of family-owned businesses partnering for mutual success and sustainable progress. APC will not only enhance our ability to supply polycarbonate sheets produced in the United States, but it also reinforces our commitment to building lasting relationships with customers, employees, and the community. This is the definition of a win-win.”

Looking ahead to early 2026, American Polycarbonate Company is scheduled to begin operations—initial production will include multiwall and corrugated polycarbonate sheets varying in gauge and technical specifications. The partners anticipate further expansion, including R&D collaborations on new product lines to address evolving market needs.
